该剧讲述1948年至1980年发生在淮河岸边、念恩桥两岸的感人故事。剧中，刘涛饰演的男主角“耿长和”是解放军猛虎团红三连的连长，在战争年代，面对炸毁念恩桥的军事命令，却因考虑到两岸劳苦人民生息问题而拒绝服从上级安排，从而导致经历了一系列的艰难坎坷。

As Leo's replacement Thomas Chamberlain arrives Nikki investigates the murders of Rachel Freedman, shot in the head, and her little autistic son Nathan, who was poisoned. At the same time the disfigured corpse of Eva Liron is discovered, killed with the same poison as Nathan.
