1963年是人口学意义上中国第一次“婴儿潮”，当年出生了近三千万人。当下，这批“婴儿潮”期间出生的人，即将退休，也标志着中国社会的老龄化将开启加速模式，预计到2035年进入重度老龄化社会。 纪录片《前浪》以此作为契机，将镜头对准老年人，通过长时间的跟踪拍摄，形成《不老爱神》《爱人》《明天会更好》《监护人》《母亲写作计划》《洗澡》《顺水行舟》7集内容。影片记录了这群老年人所遭遇的爱与痛，揭示了老年生活的真实图景，也是上海这座重度老龄化城市的一个切面。我们希望用一个个鲜活的人物故事去解答，去缓解公众对老年人的刻板印象，从而可以把老年人当成一个“人”来看待，这是一个文明社会的良心，也是《前浪》这部纪录片的初衷
