该项目由ThePictureCompany制作，改编了风靡2018年许多电影节的英国短片《Baghead》。新兴流派作家ChristinaPamies被邀请为StudioCanal对短片进行改编。《Baghead》聚焦一个神秘人物，他能够在短时间间隔内将死者召唤起来。但是，任何追求这项服务的人都必须付出巨大的代价。这部15分钟的短片在2018年的电影节巡回演出上获得了超过二十个奖项。StudioCanal去年秋天获得了短片的版权，这是ThePictureCompany的目标，该公司近年来设立了几部恐怖片项目。Alibi的JakeWagner将与Vertigo的RoyLee一起执行制作。与Corredor共同创作短片的LorcanReilly将联合制作。StudioCanal为该项目提供了全部资金，而ThePictureCompany的合作伙伴AndrewRona和AlexHeineman将通过与工作室的整体交易进行制作。
