本片改编自七十年代知名小说家江之南的作品，由华山导演。故事描述，涉世未深的刘大江（刘永）与结拜兄弟四人行，劫得一批金饰，但有人挑拨离间，致互相残杀，只得刘生还；后刘被掠去财物，为生计打劫赌档，却开罪了欧阳帮，但其帮主欣赏刘胆色，交上朋友来。帮主女保镖金燕（李丽丽）对刘有好感，协助杀了劫刘财物的人；死者为黑旗门主之女婿，但遣孀张玫瑰（胡锦）有感丈夫死有余辜，也因对刘有好感，遂网开一面……
