梁丫丫（韩月乔 饰）是某军校教官，她奉命去基层部队了解历年毕业学员的现状。学员何毅强（杜原 饰）现在新兵连当教官，他推陈出新的训练方法自感新颖，但周围人褒贬不一。第二个采访的是在校时学习成绩优秀、现任军事法庭法官的杨静宜（潘孝志 饰），他在实践中找到了这份工作的真正含义。第三个是在机关当宣传干事的刘宇（张永祥 饰），刘宇年轻气盛，凡事爱较真，在工作中常与他人发生争执，梁丫丫酌情对其进行了批评。军校高材生邱东明（荆明华 饰）因得罪某领导，被变相发配，梁丫丫及时向上级反映情况，邱的现状得以改变。炮兵旅长陈赤（巫刚 饰）是梁丫丫的恋人，也是此次她最后一个采访对象......

When, at the beginning of Deus Irae, Father Javier stares at a crucifix, his expressions and his hands suggest that the nerves are consuming him.
