天才医生郑仁（张彬彬 饰）因要查探十八年前“冤案”的真相来到海城医院，与急诊科“咸鱼”主任苏云（代旭 饰）组成了一对“欢喜冤家”，在相互扶持间攻克了一个又一个疑难病症，开启了一段“爽、燃、酷、嗨”的医学之旅。在此期间，郑仁不仅揭开了当年事件的“残酷真相”，也同时与苏云、林渊、谢伊人等人组成了“连体分离术”攻坚小组，秉持着自己心中那一份白衣天使的初心，在反复的模拟训练和坚定不移的医学精神指引下，实现了拯救生命、治愈病患、温暖人心的医生理想。
该剧讲述1948年至1980年发生在淮河岸边、念恩桥两岸的感人故事。剧中，刘涛饰演的男主角“耿长和”是解放军猛虎团红三连的连长，在战争年代，面对炸毁念恩桥的军事命令，却因考虑到两岸劳苦人民生息问题而拒绝服从上级安排，从而导致经历了一系列的艰难坎坷。

12月30日，無線電視新劇《食腦喪B》在香港將軍澳電視城舉行演員造型記者會，藝人江嘉敏、何廣沛及陳曉華出席為劇集宣傳。江嘉敏在劇中飾演紅斑狼瘡症患者，至於陳曉華飾演KOL，各自跟何廣沛都有感情線。何廣沛以喪屍造型現身，他稱自己暫時是劇中唯一喪屍。
