戴东官（欧阳震华 饰）经营着又父亲用毕生精力创建的酒楼，自称拥有“皇帝舌”的戴东官尝尽了天下的美食，用心打理酒楼的生意。一天他遇到了一个声称要为父报仇的小小（陈妙瑛 饰），小小竟然出卖东官使东官不得不逃到了北京。不久小小得知东官是无辜后，主动前往认错，两人冰释前嫌。 东官有一好友勉良（郭晋安 饰）为了考取功名而日夜苦读，幸好有翠花（梁艺龄 饰）周到照顾，当他与翠花成婚后也成功高中，但没想到勉良竟与昔日爱人倩容（张慧仪 饰）旧情复燃，翠花忍气吞声顾全丈夫声明，却被倩容的贪念毁了勉良的前途。 另一方面，东官成为了宫廷的御厨，但却受到了小小师兄的陷害。此时东官的红颜知己心茹（陈松伶 饰）怀有了皇帝（江华 饰）的孩子，害怕太后不愿接受，皇帝逼东官迎娶心茹。早已与小小结成伉俪的东官，面对爱吃醋的老婆小小，不止如何是好。不知情的小小甚至要告至公堂。
该剧以房地产公司职员伊泽美幸（栗山千明 饰）追求"如何美味享用每日最后一杯酒"的日常为主线，自2022年首季开播后每年推出新作。新季中，美幸将面临更多环境变化：竞争对手房产公司登场、新便利店开业、商店街加入新成员，她对晚酌的热情也将再度升级。
