　　故事描写生于战国乱世的江户幕府三代将军德川家光之乳母春日局的一生，而春日局在一般人的印象中是属于强势的角色，剧作家桥田寿贺子则给予新的诠释，将春日局演绎为一位全心献身于乳母之职的女人。平均收视率为32.4%，来自女性观众的支持者相当多。
