As Leo's replacement Thomas Chamberlain arrives Nikki investigates the murders of Rachel Freedman, shot in the head, and her little autistic son Nathan, who was poisoned. Nikki rejects policewoman Anne Burchett's theory that Rachel killed them both but is perturbed when an impostor, claiming to be Rachel's sister, visits the morgue. At the same time the disfigured corpse of Eva Liron is discovered, killed with the same poison as Nathan. She had been the nanny to French hot shot footballer Isaac Dreyfus and was planning to blackmail him over a sex tape of them both. The third season renewal of the Prime Video series ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ is yet to be officially confirmed by Amazon, but seems like internally it has been greenlit as it is currently preparing to begin production. Coming to the production schedule, ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Season 3 will begin filming on June 5, 2023, in Wilmington, North Carolina, and will take more than five months to officially wrap up on November 6, 2023. Jesse Peretz, Jeff Chan, and Erica Dunton will be the directors involved in the third season.
