原作は2016年から2021年までヤングアニマル（白泉社）にて連載され、2017年度の日本漫画家協会賞の優秀賞を受賞。太平洋戦争末期のペリリュー島を舞台に、マンガ家志望の兵士・田丸の視点から、日米合わせて5万人の兵士が殺し合う狂気の戦場を生きる若者の日常を描いた。親しみやすい三頭身のキャラクターでありながら、激しい戦闘や凄惨な場面を描く内容が話題を呼んだ。現在は「ペリリュー ―外伝ー」が不定期で連載されている。
