　　露丝（梅兰妮·林斯基 Melanie Lynskey 饰）是在康复中心上班的护士，实际上，她自己也患有抑郁症，正在服药进行治疗。在经历了非常倒霉的一天后，露丝疲惫的回到家中，震惊的发现自己的家遭到了歹徒的洗劫，值钱的笔记本电脑不翼而飞。巨大的压力让露丝感到，自己离崩溃不远了。
