真人版電視劇《櫻桃小丸子》29日舉行開鏡儀式，卡通裡的主角們紛紛走向台前，林佑威這次飾演小丸子爸爸，他說：「雖然對爸爸角色不陌生，但這次演喜劇，當作是來玩。」茵芙也戴上花媽頭，扮演小丸子媽媽，她苦笑：「到小丸子班上時，很多演員年紀比我大，還叫我阿姨，這合理嗎？」但被日本櫻桃子老師誇，比日本真人版酒井法子還美，也算是心滿意足。魏蔓則讚小丸子可愛，「我在戲裡常欺負她，因為小丸子很無厘頭，姐姐常受不了。」小丸子爺爺由顧寶明飾演。
安平原（孙智勋 饰）从小对自己的母亲有着不好的印象，因为他只听到姑姑和爷爷的描述，认为母亲是一个为了私情抛弃他的风流寡妇。此外，他性格沉郁压抑，但他是韩国美联集团的唯一继承人，正准备与林氏集团的千金林美姬（李妍秀 饰）结婚，以促进家族事业。然而，在订婚宴上，平原却突然得知母亲可能还活着，这让他不顾一切前往中国延吉，开始了寻亲之旅。 金百合（陶红 饰）是一名舞蹈演员，但当她得知自己因脚踝受伤无法继续跳舞时，又接到母亲去世的消息，使她备受打击。她返回家乡，经营妈妈的酱汤馆。正是在这家酱汤馆里，她与安平原相遇。金龙七（满江 饰）则是一个热爱音乐的年轻人，把音乐视作生命。他与女朋友里里（吴辰君 饰）关系融洽，但与姐姐百合的关系并不是很好。然而，平原的到来似乎会改变这一切。
