本作作为系列第5季、开播15周年的作品，以“信息犯罪特命对策室”（简称：DICT）为舞台。DICT是一个追查利用高度信息技术、威胁国民生命与财产的信息犯罪的调查机构，其中最年长的刑警二宫奈美（泽口靖子 饰）曾多年在所辖警署工作，40岁时接受刑警培训，之后在生活安全科负责处理青少年犯罪等事务。她的搜查风格，是充分发挥生活安全科经验的“扎根社区型”。一贯秉持着“直面每一个人”的信条，始终帮助眼前有困难的人。如今，这样的二宫将要面对的是“看不见面孔的敌人”——信息犯罪。
