被“奇特又美丽的变态植物”深深吸引、几乎到了疯狂程度的主人公副岛，将在每一集中与一种植物面对面，并造访城市角落里那些充满偏爱气质的特色小店。

　　音乐节目直播倒计时30分钟，剧组与演员却全面失控。演出临时更改、重要道具遗失、化妆间偷窃疑云、演员失踪与临时取消接连袭来，直播事故迫在眉睫。被全员放鸽子的主任助理中岛（武田玲奈 饰）、濒临爽约的偶像经理人伊藤（篠田麻里子 饰）、突遇变更又弄丢关键物品的动作演员芥田（桥本淳 饰），以及在开播前神秘消失的大牌演歌歌手外山（小泽和义 饰）……本作以每集不同主角视角展现同一段30分钟的无剪辑群像剧。

　　桃生翠（宇垣美里 饰）总是把他人放在自己之前。当她在婚前体检中被诊断为不孕症后，交往七年的男友提出分手，谣言在公司传播，她最终被迫离职。在身心俱疲之际，她遇到了年下帅气男子月留真央（山中柔太朗 饰），在一次偶然中真央救了她。为了逃避失落感，翠向刚认识的真央提出了一个意外的提议……

　　电影《Across the Midnight》的公开商队来日的泰国国民演员阿提特（卡纳吾 饰），在采访、公开活动、节目录制等以分钟为单位的日程中，不经意间看到东京夜景，为时间流逝之快而惊讶。虽然不是没有休息时间，但是没有可以自由使用的时间。工作很顺利，但不知道人生这样好不好。有着“微笑王子”的爱称，每天忙于工作感到有些疲惫，于是偷偷溜出饭店前往东京街头。与自己的国家不同，日本可以不用在意周围的目光自由自在地度过“短暂的休息”。
　　另一方面，在传统甜品店“时和”里叹气的是看店的石田樱子（泷本美织 饰）。因为父亲俊夫住院，所以一个人打理店铺，但曾经留学过，朝着自己想做的事情迈进…应该是这样的。但是回过神来，现在也在老家的甜品店帮忙。在三十岁这个人生节点上，虽然形式不同但都想逃离自己人生的两人，在东京街头相遇时，停止的时间开始流动。为了取回重要的东西而“逃亡”相遇的两人，陷入了短暂而悲伤的恋爱之中……

 John is a repressed man who is shocked to find himself in middle age, secretly raging at his life as a stay-at-home dad. When his failure to intervene in a violent confrontation in a playground brings his identity crisis to a head, John ups and moves his family to the rural idyll of Coldwater, as far away from London as possible. Upon arrival, John is quickly befriended by next-door neighbour Tommy, a charming, confident man, devoted husband to the local vicar Rebecca.
