　　本片改編自作家水上勉的料理散文【吃土的日子】，由演技派的澤田研二與松隆子主演，電影中的料理出自料理之神土井善晴之手，這是一部用四季料理描繪人生之味的電影。日本的茶道及花道將無形的禪融入於具體的事物中，本作則將禪融合在日常的料理之中，做菜如此，做其他事情也是如此，灑掃、洗衣、釀酒、寫作，無論做什麼都全心全意，活在當下，這就是禪。
