In advance of the D-Day Landings, paratroopers from the US 82nd Airborne Division are dropped behind enemy lines to capture strategic positions. One such location is near the town of Ste Mere Eglise where American airborne troops fight Nazi forces for control of a bridgehead for three days, to prevent German reinforcements from reaching the beaches.

Ramadan and his team investigate the evidence at this potential crime scene to discover what - or who - remains inside.

Their investigation is a rollercoaster ride filled with glittering riches, wealthy priests and the worship of a long lost serpent goddess. But something doesn't quite add up. Only the latest technology will reveal whether these priests are exactly what - or who - they seem.
